Shopping Markets and Christmas Markets
Markets of this type customarily have a selection of foods, drink, seasonal items and handmade crafts being sold from market stalls or chalet stalls by local exhibitors, often along with activities for visitors of all ages and entertainment in the form of live music, temporary ice rinks or bouncy castles, demonstrations and, not forgetting, the all important visit from Santa himself for the little ones! on Christmas markets Christmas Markets are an excellent way of drawing in the crowds, temporarily increasing the population of the venue in which they are being held. However, increased numbers, along with additional risk factors that are associated with any event, unfortunately, also cause the potential risk of individuals becoming ill, or sustaining an injury during their visit, to increase. Whilst some injuries may be minor and easily treatable, others may require urgent assessment in order to stabilise the patient and reduce further complications. In such circumstances, medical intervention at the earliest possible opportunity allows a patient the best possible chance of a full recovery. However, it is well documented that the NHS ambulance service is often working at, or above capacity, and even 999 calls cannot always be answered in a timely manner. For this reason, event safety guides now state that each event should ensure its own medical provision is in place, in order to cause as little disruption to the statutory services as possible, and this is where RVMT can step in to assist.

Town centre & Nightclubs are, and have been for many years, a popular venue for individuals to attend to socialize, relax, and join together with other like-minded people in listening, or dancing, to a particular style of music, depending on the club or bar in the town they are attending. For example, some clubs are well known for their hip hop style of music, while others attract fans of house music, dance-pop, or rave music to name but a few.

What is a Nightclub Medic?
An RVMT Medic is the difference between a First Aider and an Ambulance attendant. They provide medical support to nightclubs by treating minor injuries onsite and ensuring that ambulances are used only when necessary. Nightclub medics receive addition training to recognize, assess and monitor patients who may have either consumed too much alcohol or taken illicit substances. They can therefore treat more appropriately on-site, reducing the number of 999 ambulance calls and number of unnecessary hospital admissions. Furthermore, they can provide more adequate treatment whilst awaiting the arrival of an ambulance for life threatening emergencies by quickly recognizing the onset of a medical emergency.
What are the benefits?
